I do this also. I try not to but sometimes its hard. I started using the don't take your pencil of the page tip with this tip with the don't worry about what your drawing looks like tip and it really helps me draw, flow and feel better about the way I draw. Im not a good free flowing drawing type of person but I would like to be. So great tips.

Just joined the site a few days ago.
How Inspiring!
And today's tip, right on target for me. I have a real tendency to go small. This results, for me, in jumping to the details before I have an adequate position in the torso or profile or the toes. :) I end up going backwards in my drawings, filling out the chest or the upper leg, etc., because I have started too tight and small.
Thanks, Matt!

How great to watch something that describes exactly the habit I'm finding myself in and suggesting a way out of it! I have noticed my drawings going from large line drawing with my arm to becoming smaller and smaller and drawing with just my hand. Thanks Matt for tips like this for those of us who are not in a classroom setting!
