Saori is by far one of the hardest working students I’ve ever had the pleasure to teach. She is truly devoted to developing her craft of drawing. Saori is currently enrolled in the Animation department over at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York.
Saori definitely makes the most of each class as well as each homework assignment. She never gets bored with any of the assignments. That is a skill that every student must have. Not getting bored with sometimes boring assignments. It’s a must to learn how to make boring fundamentals exciting. I would say Saori has become a master at taking dull subjects and injecting life and excitement into them.
So as an artist show your creativity by injecting your personality into the mundane. That is how you will shine.
Hope you enjoy Saori’s sketchbook drawings.
Don’t forget leave us a comment on Saori’s work.
Thanks for watching.
Matt

When do you think this Real Estate market will go back right side up? Or is it still too early to tell? We are seeing a lot of housing foreclosures in Winter Springs Florida. What about you? We would love to get your feedback on this.

I just watched Saori’s sketchbook. Very nice!!!! I’m finally getting the message. I’ve been afraid to start drawing again, because I want everything to be perfect, and I’m afraid of failure. (Stupid? I know!) I finally got Matt’s message, “Draw for the garbage can”. Meaning, just start anywhere…toss it if you don’t like it, just do it! I started a “mural drawing” last evening. I didn’t like it, but it brings back the “right sided brain” method for me. I wasn’t disappointed in the drawing, I just didn’t like the colors. Also, I liked the fact that I picked up my pens and pencils again and started drawing! Anyway, Saori gave me some good ideas. I really appreciate Saori sharing her sketchbook with us. Thanks Matt and Saori!

It’s incredible how her drawings of expressions and poses look so alive !
Some girls reminds me the softness of the artist Ciia (Chhuy-ing ia) characters.
Thanks again Saori and Matt of course for sharing.
(can’t wait for part 3 ^__^)
